Terms and Conditions

Please read these conditions carefully before using the Spareblocks.com website.
By using the Spareblocks.com website and purchasing our goods, you signify your agreement to be bound by these conditions.
1.

You also may not create and/or publish your own database that features parts of this website without our express written consent.
Written consent will not be unreasonably refused if the purpose for reproduction will have no adverse effect on the business
of Spareblocks.com – e-mail any such request to info@spareblocks.com.
2.
Trademarks and Designs Items
on this site are a mix of new and used Lego parts. The trade name Lego is only used on this site to clarify the manufacturer
of the parts, and in no way is Spareblocks associated with the Lego company, and in no way do we intend to portray ourselves
as associated.
3. Purchase of items Visitors can select items for purchase by pressing the corresponding
‘Add to Cart’ buttons and specifying the quantity of each part required. The quantity of parts in stock is shown
on the site for each item. Please order carefully as the PayPal shopping Cart will not correct orders for stock we do
not have. Our packing and postage is kept to a strict minimum to help maintain our reputation for providing an affordable
spare parts service. In order to maintain our low prices, we try and utilise standard first class posting methods and only
use more expensive signed for postage on larger orders. In order to prove postage, a photographic record is taken of every complete
order and every addressed package, together with every postal receipt (except where pre-paid stamps are used). Items rarely
go missing in the post, but in such an event, Spareblocks will provide evidence that the order has been picked and addressed
correctly, unless specific instructions are given prior to ordering, no items are insured once we have deposited them with
Royal Mail, and no claim shall be placed against us where we demonstrate the order was picked and packaged correctly. If you
require an insured signed for postal service, uk buyers must add a £1 postage supplement to the carts and non-uk buyers
must add a total of 6 x £1 postage supplements to their cart.
When ordering, please carefully check that the quantity of each item you require
is in stock - the quantity available is given underneath the picture of the item. When we receive orders asking for more items
than we have in stock, we will try to complete the order from reserve stock, but where this is not possible, we will complete
the order as best we can and make a refund for the parts not available. To avoid disappointment, purchasers are asked to check
the quantity level on each item before ordering. To see if we can source additional items from unsorted stock before ordering,
customers are welcome to e-mail us with the part numbers where stock is shown as insufficient with an indication of the quantity
they would like so we can check our unsorted stock and advise accordingly.
We are not a bulk supplier and exist
to provide replacement parts for people seeking to complete Lego sets. Where we believe orders have been placed to cherry
pick items for resale we reserve the right to refuse the order and refund as it costs us a great deal of time to pick such
orders and it leaves genuine buyers unable to buy the parts.
When we receive orders that we cannot significantly complete, we may opt to
fully refund and advise accordingley.
Postage costs are automatically calculated by PayPal and depend on the value of the order as illustrated
in the schedule below.
Overseas (Non UK postal addresses) buyers should shop and purchase in exactly the same way as UK buyers, but
in order to cover for the additional postage cost, non uk buyers are required to purchase an overseas postal
supplement which is priced at just £1 and is available at the top of most pages by pressing the add to cart button below
the postage supplement picture. Where the postage paid is insufficient to cover the reasonable cost of packing and posting
the items when the items purchased are bulky or heavy for their cost, we may refund and or advise on the additional postage
required.
Most UK orders are posted first class post but we may send smaller value orders or heavy low cost orders
via. second class mail in order to maintain our relatively low picking, packing and postage charges. If a small value order
is required as quickly as possible (less than £5), two £1 postage supplements (available at the top of most pages)
can be added to the order and that will ensure that the order is prioritised for picking, and posted first class.
4. Quality of used items
If your spare parts are for a specific model, after or during
the ordering process, you may want to let us know the set number (this is a 4 digit number that is shown on the front of the
box/instruction manual). By doing this, we can double check that the parts we are sending are authentic replacements - the
style and design of Lego parts has varied slightly over the years. Additionally, if you have a well-used older vintage
set, you may not want brand new shiny parts as these could spoil the look of the model. Likewise, if the model is a very
new set you may prefer new, or only slightly worn parts - again, if you provide us with such information or preferences, we
can be selective (where stock allows) when picking the order.
As a rule we do not clean used parts, so where stock
is limited or the part is inherently vintage, used parts can sometimes benefit from cleaning (especially if they are to be
used on a model that has newer appearance). Lego parts can be safely cleaned by placing the parts in automatic washing powder
dissolved in warm water (max. 40 degrees Celsius). The parts can be left in the solution until all the dirt and stains are
removed (usually 1 to 5 hours, but longer if required) (once clean, thoroughly rinse the parts off under cold water and leave
to dry naturally). do not use abrasives on your Lego parts, hot water, toxic or acidic chemicals and never wash parts that
have metallic parts unless you are sure they will not rust as a result of the process.
Older vintage parts
will invariably be well used and when stock levels are low our ability to select good examples is limited. We stock and supply
some well worn vintage parts as it is often difficult to aquire these parts in any condition let alone pristine, and in cases
where the set requiring a missing piece is very old and well used, a worn or less than perfect peice is appropriate. Accordingley,
if you require a good example of a certain piece, we would advise you avoid purchasing parts that are in low supply numbers.
Similarily, if you need consistency in quality, you should avoid ordering our entire stock of one item, as the quality might
vary. As a general rule, we will select the best example available from the stock unless advised otherwise.
We are Lego enthusiasts ourselves and strive to
provide an affordable and enjoyable buying experience. Much of our custom is repeat custom, so we pride ourselves on making
sure every customer is delighted with our unique service. Every order is individually picked by someone with considerable
Lego knowledge, and if we have any doubt regarding an order we will personally contact you to make sure the order is completed
correctly. We make only modest profit from offering this service, so customer satisfaction is very much our key
motivating factor.
We price items largely based on quantity available, on the assumption that a purchaser might
buy between 1 and 2 items only. We wish to avoid attracting bulk buying from resellers but this is not always successful.
Where orders are received for a lot of one item or the entire available stock, we retain a right to refuse purchase and refund
or offer a reduce quantity so that the parts can be repriced to try and discourage bulk purchase, thereby ensuring an example(s)
of the parts are available for a genuine collector needing a replacement. We do have customers that purchase for resale on
Ebay and we always try to fulfill their orders where we can, and where our desire to provide genuine collectors with parts
is not compromised.

reasonable control such as; technical failure, severe weather, fire or explosion, civil disorder, war, or military operations,
natural or local emergency, anything undertaken by government or other competent authority or industrial disputes of

the effect of any such unforeseen restrictions.
